Inspired Minds provides individualized learning support for students from preschool through college. I look at how each student learns, identify where the process is breaking down, and build a program around the learner’s actual developmental needs.
In-person and hybrid support available in the Chattanooga area. Online options are also available. Math instruction is provided remotely.
Learning support built around the student
Every student begins with a learning review. I consider academic foundations, developmental readiness and the way the student responds during learning.
Your child may be working harder than the results show.
Some students need more explanation or repetition. Others have gaps in the foundational skills that later learning depends on. Some understand a concept during instruction but cannot use it independently in another setting.
These patterns tell us something important about how the student is learning.
Work hard without making expected progress

Read the words without understanding the meaning
Struggle to use a skill outside the setting where it was taught
Need support that does not fit neatly into one school subject
Success should travel with the student.
Progress matters most when it appears outside our sessions. That may look like reading unfamiliar text, using a strategy without prompting, completing classroom work with less strain or explaining an idea in a new context. The goal is meaningful learning that students can carry into school and daily life.

I began Inspired Minds in 2021 as a tutoring practice. As I worked with more students, the work became increasingly focused on understanding why learning was difficult and what each student needed in order to move forward.
